Summer Programs
The Boys and Girls Club of Wellington and Area is having our annual 10 week SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM for children between the ages of 5 and 12. We only charge for the days your children attend! Our fees are very convenient for families and reasonably priced. We charge twenty dollars per child and each additional sibling ten per child.
Come out and enjoy our various activities, too many to name them all! Indoors, we have a teen room, music, art, and theatre room, video game rooms, sports room, mini-gym, lego room, craft room, homework room, and a large spacious kitchen. Outdoors, we have a paved hockey rink, basketball nets, wooden train, old car, tractor and wagon, sand box, tire park, trails in the woods, paved race track, garden and lots of green space!
Youth Programming
Every youth is welcomed and respected for their individuality at the Wellington and Area Boys and Girls Club. Taking individuality and interests into consideration, club staff are dedicated to engaging youth in activities that will make a positive contribution to the community. Youth programs vary from leadership building, civic engagement, sports and much more!
Employment Opportunities
The Wellington and Area Boys and Girls Club offer rewarding youth employment opportunities. Through various partnerships, the Wellington and Area Boys and Girls Club employ youth to assist with program implementation and special events during out-of-school hours. Youth interested in making a positive difference in the lives of children and their community are encouraged to apply for contractual employment.
Volunteering
The success of the Wellington and Area Boys and Girls Club requires the support of volunteers to make positive changes in the lives of children and youth. Dedicated volunteers help enable children and youth to play, learn and develop valuable skills for life. There are many ways volunteers share their valued ‘Gift of Time’, while making a positive contribution to the Wellington and Area Boys and Girls Club.
After School Program
When the bell rings, school is out and the doors to the Boys and Girls Club open to children to participate in a variety of recreational activities. Children enrolled in this program enjoy spending time with friends while making crafts, playing board games and so much more! The after school program also focuses on personal wellness, nutrition and educational opportunities. Children attending the program are provided with a light healthy snack prepared by staff and volunteers.
Summer Brain Gain 2018
To counter learning loss during the summer months, Summer Brain Gain provide opportunities for Club members to practice reading and mathematics skills on a daily basis, with a focus on two key outcomes: educational activities that look and feel different from the regular school day, and high levels of youth engagement and motivation.

Tennis Program 2018-2019
Designed for kids with no previous tennis experience, the Tennis League program focuses on learning tennis through play, rather than the traditional lesson-based model. Using modified tennis balls, racquets, nets, and courts that can be used in non-traditional facilities, young players learn the fundamentals of the game early on.

Cool Moves teaches kids to eat smart and get moving
Our Cool Moves program helps young people learn to make healthy choices. We are excited to share a video that highlights Mondelez’s support of the Cool Moves program.
By describing the experiences of one program participant, the video demonstrates the value of the Cool Moves program, which gives young people the opportunity to develop healthy, active lifestyles. Through Cool Moves, participants learn about healthy eating and engage in fun physical activity.
